Caveman Bars – What are the Pros & Cons?

Do you want a sweet and salty Paleo protein bar made up mainly of nuts and seeds? Caveman Bars come in a variety of flavors, plus they contain a good amount of protein and healthy fiber.

Caveman Bar, Almond Cashew FlavorCaveman Foods started with the objective to bring consumers food products that contain only ingredients that a caveman would eat… lean meats, vegetables, fruits and berries, nuts and seeds.

Essentially, this means people who eat their products get all the benefits of foods that are high in fiber, antioxidants, Omega 3s, protein and plant sterols.

Sounds like a good idea to me.

Caveman Bar Ingredient LabelBesides all-natural nutrition bars, Caveman Foods also sells beef jerky, chicken jerky and trail mix in small packages ideal for camping and hiking trips. …Plus school snacks, after-workout fuel, travel packs, office snacks, movie treats or right before you go skydiving. Well, maybe not the last one.

I like the almond cashew flavor because it has pistachios and chia seeds. However, dark chocolate lovers or people who like dried fruit will probably prefer the other bars.

Anyway, I’ve listed the different flavors they have below – not all the ingredients and nutrition content since I don’t want to drive you insane. If you want more information, you know what to do: just click a link.

Note for people who care: The chocolate flavors do contain soy (as soy lecithin).
thumbs up
As far as cost, they typically cost $1.99 each, but in boxes of 15 (what I’ve listed below), the cost comes down as low as $1.50 per bar.
